Amanah Protection
Protection with Islamic insurance solutions
Your life is subject to risk of loss from unforeseen events. Islamic society has its own tradition of alleviating the burden of financial loss, and HSBC Amanah has drawn on this tradition to bring you a developing range of competitive takaful products in selected areas.
Takaful means "guaranteeing each other" in Arabic, and is an Islamic system of mutual insurance built around the concept of tabarru' (donation, gift). Tabarru' contributions and are made with the intention to help other participants faced with difficulties, and minimize the resemblance of takaful to gambling and exploitation. Each participant contributes to a fund to cover expected claims, while also benefiting from a share of investment returns.
