HSBC Bank USA has introduced a new free global transfer service, helping its US account holders transfer money more easily.
The ‘Easy-Send’ account is the first of its kind. Initially focusing on the 100 million plus yearly transactions to Mexico and Latin America, the account will eventually allow account holders send money anywhere in the world.
"We’re thrilled to give our customers a safe, fast and free way to get money to their friends and family around the world," said Kevin Newman, head of the bank's Personal Financial Services unit.
"The volume of international money transfers has grown to more than $100 billion a year, and it is clear consumers want a better way to send money."
HSBC Bank USA, National Association has nearly 400 branches in New York State, a network of branches in Florida and California and one branch each in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Washington State, Oregon and Washington, D.C.
It is the principal subsidiary of HSBC USA Inc, an indirectly-held, wholly-owned subsidiary of HSBC North America Holdings Inc., one of the nation’s 10 largest bank holding companies by assets. For more information about HSBC Bank USA and its products and services visit us.hsbc.com.
